The daily meetings to assess the previous day's quality occurrences only served to correct known and reported errors, but were far from preventing new problems
from occurring elsewhere in the product. In addition, the use of spreadsheets generated great inaccuracy in the definition and quantification of occurrences.
The implementation of the Sequor quality system, with the visual attribute inspection tool allowed the problems, which had been identified in the product in the painting sector
to be reported in real time in the bodywork welding sector, where defects were generated.
This solution allowed occurrences to be corrected immediately, dramatically reducing the number of defects per unit: rework was reduced by 90%.
Real gain obtained: 70% reduction in the occurrence of repeated defects and 90% reduction in rework.
